Background Information
Public Health Consulting (PHC) was founded in 2019. Dina Hunsberger, Heather Kerwin, and Sara Behl discovered that their complementary skills and passion for public health provide a greater benefit to clients when they join forces.

needs assessment
Our team has conducted numerous needs assessments, from those smaller in scale to the 2019 Statewide Health Needs Assessment for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. We are skilled in data mining; data collection; data analysis and interpretation; developing, administering, and analyzing survey data; conducting interviews, focus groups and community forums; analyzing qualitative data; and prioritizing findings.
organizational assessement
Our team has assisted public agencies and private businesses with assessments designed to identify factors that affect organizational performance. In addition to reviewing organizational policies, procedures and documentation, we utilize surveys and one-on-one interviews to collect important information that collectively identifies opportunities for improvement within the organization.
Data Analysis
Our team is skilled in data analytics, with the ability to interpret and summarize data via reports, illustrations, dashboards, infographics, and maps.
facilitation
Our team can facilitate meetings both small and large. Whether you need assistance with board or strategic planning retreats, work groups, community forums or other events that require focused facilitation, we are up to the task.
grant & Proposal writing
We have extensive experience writing federal, state, local and private foundation grants. In addition to writing grants, we have served as federal and local grant reviewers and have developed proposals for clients needing to develop request for proposal (RFP) applications.
program evaluation
We have considerable experience evaluating programs and processes, from the development of an evaluation plan to the completion of final recommendations. We can assist with goals and objectives, identify key metrics, develop data collection processes and methods, as well as logic models that serve to evaluate project success.

Our team has strong project management experience, ranging from the management of public health initiatives; health information technology projects; software development, testing and implementation; large scale assessment projects; and organizational assessment projects.
